Mister Global 2016: The Winner

Mister Global 2016 pageant was held yesterday, May 6, 2016 at ChingMai Hall, Chiang Mai, Thailand. There were 30 countries all in all, that participated the said pageant for handsome males. The participating nations were Azerbaijan, Brazil, Czech Republic, China, Canada, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, France, India, Guam, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Lebanon, Malaysia, Myanmar, Nepal, Netherlands, Paraguay, Panama, Peru, Philippines, Puerto Rico, Singapore, Spain, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Turkey, USA, and Vietnam. Here are the list of winners:

Mister Global 2016 - Czech Republic (Tomáš Martinka)

First Runner-Up - Thailand (Thawatchai Jaikhan)

Second Runner-Up - Spain (Chema Malavia)

Third Runner-Up - Brazil (Giba Pignatti) 

Fourth Runner-Up - Singapore (Noel Ng)

Some other awards given during the pageant night were as follows: 

Best in Talent: Malaysia
Mister Photogenic: Spain
Best Model: India
Mister Congeniality: Guam
Best Physique: Turkey
Best National Costume: Sri Lanka
Mister Global Internet Popularity: Philippines 
Mister People's Choice: Thailand 

All the 30 contestants were cut into top 16 in the first round. The countries that made it to the top 16 were Brazil, Czech Republic, Guam, India, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Myanmar, Nepal, Philippines, Peru, Puerto Rico, Singapore, Spain, Thailand, and USA. In the second round, the 16 contestants were cut into top 10, which were composed of Brazil, Czech Republic, Korea, Malaysia, Myanmar, Nepal, Philippines, Singapore, Spain, and Thailand. And for the final round, only 5 countries were able to proceed and compete. They were Thailand, Brazil, Singapore, Spain, and Czech Republic.
